THURSDAY, MAY 11, 2006COMING FRIDAY X-Men: The Last Stand press event in New York City -- and much more!!!
Patrick Stewart, who returns as Professor Xavier in X-Men: The Last Stand, said the third film is the most ambitious of the three.
"This film is richer from start to finish," Stewart said. "It''ll get you worked up -- and it should! It has an intriguing hook that gets you involved immediately and emotionally with the characters."
In other X-Men: The Last Stand notes:
* Vinnie Jones on playing Juggernaut: "Juggernaut is a mercenary, a fighting machine. He's a member of the Brotherhood but doesn't necessarily share Magneto's intense interest in abolishing the cure. He just lives for battles."
* Fox has released its digital press kit to The Continuum, including numerous new photos. Click on the thumbnails below for larger images.
The image above shows Brotherhood members Juggernaut (Vinnie Jones), Kid Omega (Ken Leung), Magneto (Ian McKellen), Multiple Man (Eric Dane), Callisto (Dania Ramirez), Pyro (Aaron Standford), Arclight (Omahyra) and Jean Grey (Famke Janssen).
JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED FINALEProducer Dwayne McDuffie told The Continuum that the series finale of Justice League Unlimited -- "Destroyer," which premieres on Saturday on Cartoon Network -- sends the show off with a bang.
"It was a pleasure to be a part of the team on the series finale of JLU, in many ways the conclusion to a single grand continuity spanning Batman TAS, Superman TAS, Batman Beyond and depending on who you're arguing with, several other fine shows," McDuffie said.
"As always, director Jaoquim Dos Santos brought the funk, delivering several classic action sequences -- wait for 'the punch,' after you've seen it, you'll know what I'm talking about. All of our major characters take a final bow and even Luthor still has a trick up his sleeve.
"Bruce Timm and James Tucker have produced yet another classic animated series and this is a finale worthy of their legacy. Come join us for one last adventure."
Fellow producer Matt Wayne echoed McDuffie's sentiments.
"It was a big thrill being part of what I think is the best animated action show ever," he told The Continuum. "Every day there'd be something, a plot twist or storyboard or some new footage, that would make me say 'Oh, my God.' Most jobs you don't get that.
Bruce, James and Dwayne always push themselves to do it bigger and better than last time. I'm proud to have jumped into that mix and held my own.
"'Destroyer' is a great episode to go out on, one big climax after another."
