COMING SUNDAY

Much more from Wizard World Philadelphia!!!

WIZARD WORLD PHILADELPHIA: ERICA DURANCE PANEL

Erica Durance, who plays Lois Lane in Smallville, said she's signed on for 13 episodes for the next season on The CW.

"They may bring me back for more," Durance said at a panel at Wizard World Philadelphia. "They're never quite sure what they're going to do with Lois."

Accompanied by her husband, actor David Palffy, Durance said character development with Lois is very tricky, considering her eventual relationship with Clark Kent.

"DC Comics has really clamped down on Lois," she said. "You can't do a dream sequence (with her and Clark) or any of that sneaky stuff."

She said there's a danger of Lois and Clark getting too close on the series.

"You could wind up frustrating the audience," she said. "Or if it ends up they get together and once there's love, it's like, sayoonara, Smallville's over."

Durance said she feels the show could thrive through a sixth season and even a seventh.

WIZARD WORLD PHILADELPHIA: ULTIMATE AVENGERS 2

Lionsgate is staging a booth at Wizard World Philadelphia, where one of the films it is promoting is Ultimate Avengers 2.

Posters featuring the DVD's box art -- by Ultimates artist Bryan Hitch -- are being given away. While the Black Panther is new to the Ultimate universe, Hitch provided a design for the film.

Also, a preview of the film is being screened. It appeared that the preview is the same footage that was shown at Wizard World Los Angeles in March.

The movie will be in stores on Aug. 8. It will include previews of the upcoming Iron Man and Doctor Strange films from Lionsgate and Marvel.

WIZARD WORLD PHILADELPHIA: DC COMICS PANEL

Dan DiDio said that #0 issues is a card he doesn't like to play at DC Comics, but that Justice League of America #0 is an exception.

"I was reading Brad Melter's script to Justice League and noticed how there was a happy relationship between Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman," DiDio said at DC's panel at Wizard World Philadelphia on Saturday. "We needed a bridge from one step (Infinite Crisis) to the other (Justice League) #1."
