SPIDER-MAN UNMASKED

Following his public unmasking in Civil War #2, Spider-Man will be featured in a series of stories under the "Spider-Man Unmasked" umbrella in upcoming months.

"Spider-Man Unmasked" tie-ins will run through Sensational Spider-Man #28-32, and the covers of each issue will display a banner signifying them as tie-in issues.

Here's how Marvel describes Sensational Spider-Man #28, a stand-alone issue due in stores on July 12:

"The repercussions of that life-changing decision will be shown as it relates to those in Peter Parker's life. In a story called 'My Science Teacher is Spider-Man,' you see Peter's students dealing with the fact that their nice and boring science teacher has actually been one of the world's preeminent super-heroes.

His students aren't the only ones shown dealing with the revelation as Doctor Octopus, quite possibly Spider-Man's greatest nemesis, shows up to confront Parker. Needless to say, Doc Ock isn't showing up to offer congratulations.

The issue is written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, wth digitally painted art by Clayton Crain.

SUPERMAN: BRAINIAC ATTACKS

Superman: Brainiac Attacks, which will be released on DVD on Tuesday, will premiere on Cartoon Network on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

Here's how Warner Bros. describes the film:

"Superman, about to finally divulge his identity and his feelings to Lois Lane, suddenly finds his mighty hands full when Brainiac, a powerful computer, bent on universal domination and Lex Luthor team up to defeat him. Armed with new weapons and a special strain of kryptonite infused in his body, Brainiac becomes the most powerful enemy The Man of Steal has ever faced. When Lois Lane is critically injured by a force beam that was intended for him, Superman must race into the mysterious Phantom Zone to find a cure. Brianiac, believing Superman to be dead, betrays Lex Luthor and begins his attack on the city of Metropolis and ultimately Earth. Will Superman survive the Phantom Zone in order to defeat his deadly foes, save Lois and Metropolis?"

Tim Daly, who provided the voice of Superman in the 1990s animated series on Kids' WB!, returns as the Man of Steel. The cast also includes Dana Delany as Lois Lane, Powers Boothe as Lex Luthor, Lance Henriksen as Brainiac, David Kaufman as Jimmy Olsen, George Dzundza as Perry White, Mike Farrell as Jonathan Kent and Shelley Fabares as Martha Kent.

The film's story is by Christopher Simmons and Duane Capizzi, with a screenplay by Capizzi. Curt Geda is director, Susan Blu is voice director and Thomas Chase Jones provides the music.

Although the movie's designs are based upon those of the television series, it does not appear to be in the continuity of the series, as characters -- most noticably Luthor, Brainiac and Lois -- act differently.

EZRA MODEL WINNER

Sean OšReilly, Arcana Studio editor-in-chief, announced on Friday that Alexandra Janicek has won the Epic Ezra Model Search.

The selection of Janicek coincides with the release of Ezra vs. 10th Muse #1 in July, which pits Arcanašs ivory-skinned mercenary, Ezra, against Blue Water Productions' mythological beauty, 10th Muse.

Janicek beat out 29 other models to win the role. "Being Ezra appeals to me because she seems dangerous, powerful and sexy," she said. "I am quite excited that I won and I look forward to learning more and being a part of this intriguing world!˛

Janicek appears with 10th Muse model Cindy Margolis on the cover of the crossover book.

In the story, the medieval mercenary targets Medusa, the sworn enemy of the 10th Muse. However, the 10th Muse is forced to stop Ezra and save Medusa to prevent history from unraveling.
