Reports from Heroes Con in Charlotte, N.C. -- and much more!

Rosario Dawson is looking forward to a trip back to Sin City.

Appearing at Heroes Con in Charlotte, N.C., on Friday and promoting her new comics series, Image Comics' Occult Crimes Taskforce, Dawson said she's "really excited" to reprise her role of Gail.

"They're going to be doing A Dame to Kill For, which precedes the first movie," she said. "It will explain why I'm so mad at Dwight."

Aspen Comics on Thursday announced details for its Soulfire: Dyaing of the Light trade paperback, due in in stores in September.

The collected edition will include the mini-series with the #0 issue, as well as entirely new Dying of the Light Beginnings story, only available in the trade paperback. Also featured is a complete cover gallery featuring the art by Michael Turner and Peter Steigerwald.

"The Dying of the Light mini-series was a great run for Aspen last year and we're excited to release the entire collected work in this format," said Frank Mastromauro, Aspen's executive vice president. "We really wanted to thank fans for the great support they showed the series, so we decided to include an entirely new story packaged with the trade."

Written by J.T. Krul and featuring the artwork of Micah Gunnell, Soulfire: Dying of the Light was a spin-off of the regular Soulfire series and centered on a new cast of characters, along with regular series cast members Grace and the malevolent Rainier.

Aspen plans to release the Dying of the Light trade paperback in September to coincide with the mini-series Soulfire: Chaos Reign by J.T. Krul and Marcus To. Both mini-series provide the essential history of the Soulfire universe and set the stage for the regular Soulfire series by Michael Turner and Peter Steigerwald.

Blue Water Productions and Alias Comics in October will release Lost Raven, a 96-page graphic novel that focuses on a man who finds out he has the HIV virus and is forced to make changes in his life. The book is written by Darren G. Davis, with art by Keu Cha, Renato Arlem and Mike Miller.

Here's how Blue Water describes the book:

"After learning that he has contracted the HIV virus, attorney Zak Raven leaves his practice behind to set forth on a mission of relaxation until his peaceful trip goes wildly astray, leaving Zak shipwrecked on what he thinks is a deserted island with only the words in his own journal to keep him company.

"Unknown to Zak, however, four miles below the surface of this quiet island secretly hides a government experimentation center where scientists play God by trying to artificially evolve a human-based species to combat a coming Armageddon. Unfortunately, all they've created so far are deadly monsters ... and they're about to meet their new neighbor, Zak Raven!"

"The book isn't about sexual relations, but what it's like to live with this disease day to day, said Davis, who has been HIV positive since 1999. "I want people to know if you contract the virus, there are options. I've been enjoying a successful career publishing mainstream comic books, and now I want to tell a personal tale, about a journey I'm taking with millions of others.

"Excerpts from my journal were used in the comic book, exposing very raw emotional periods such as the initial diagnosis, surrendering to living with the side effects of medication, and grappling with the social stigma and mental strain often associated with this disease."
