ARCHIE COMICS FIRST LOOKS

FIRST LOOK: SONIC THE HEDGEHOG #164

Sonic the Hedgehog #164 will arrive in stores on July 12 from Archie Comics. The issue is written by Ian Flynn, with art by James Fry and Jim Amash and a cover by Patrick Spaziante.

Here's how Archie describes the book:

"'Darkest Storm,' part 3 of 3. The cataclysmic conclusion of this epic tale finds a fallen hero and a hidden villain revealed! Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles have always been the greatest heroes the world has ever known, but can they stand up to the combined forces of mystical Ixis Naugus, megalomaniac Mammath Mogol and the world's most evil science geek, Robotnik? The most shocking story development since Sonic #50's death of Princess Sally! Plus: Another nail-biting back-up tale! Featuring the third in a series of triptych covers by Spaz--collect all three issues (including last month's #162 and #163) for a complete image."

Sonic the Hedgehog will be 32 pages and will cost $2.25.

FIRST LOOK: SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH #77

Sabrina the Teenage Witch #77 will arrive in stores on July 12 from Archie Comics. The issue is by Tania del Rio.

Here's how Archie describes the book:

"'Deep Sea Secret.' There's nothing like a Charm School field trip--especially to an underwater city filled with interesting mer-people! Falling away from the group, Sabrina, Shinji and Llandra find a cave filled with ancient cave paintings. Narayan, a mer-man who wants to be an underwater archeologist one day, explains that one of the paintings prophecies a time when the mana tree will die and the waters will be teeming with horrible sea monsters! This explains a lot about the recent and not-so-recent past, and offers a scary glimpse into the future for the trio. Now more than ever, Shinji implores his friends to re-launch the Four Blades! But Llandra may be more interested in launching a romance with Narayan."

Sabrina the Teenage Witch will be 32 pages and will cost $2.25.
