COMIC-CON: MARVEL STUDIOS PANEL

Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige says the time is right for Marvel to start producing its own films -- and the studio seems to be off and running in that endeavor.

At Marvel Studios' panel at Comic-Con International on Saturday, Feige -- joined by studiomates Avi Arad and Ari Arad -- introduced directors of three of Marvel's first independently produced films: Ant-Man's Edgar Wright, The Incredible Hulk's Louis Leterrier and Iron Man's Jon Favreau.

The directors were candid in discussing their plans for their films, and Marvel even displayed an Iron Man poster created by Adi Granov.

BLADE: THE SERIES UPDATE

Spike TV has released nine images from "The Evil Within," Wednesday's new episode of Blade: The Series.

Here's how the episode is described:

"Boone continues his killing rampage and pays a visit to Damek at the House of Armaya. Krista learns Boone's whereabouts through her A.D.E. and rescues his hostage Patricia. Charlotte, the diminutive head of Chthon, confronts Marcus about Aurora. Chase attacks and presumably kills Boone, so Marcus sends her to Berlin to track down a pregnant patient. Blade also travels to Berlin to get to the pregnant patient Vanessa but Chase and other Familiars get to her first. Blade kidnaps Vanessa and blows up the Institute. Marcus catches Krista trying to steal the vaccine, and tells her it doesn't work."

The episode was written by Dan Truly and directed by Michael Robison.
