DARK HORSE COMICS FOR NOVEMBER

Dark Horse Comics has provided The Continuum with its solicitations for November.

For a rundown, with cover images, CLICK HERE.

TEEN TITANS SEASON 2 DVD

The Continuum has obtained a first look at some of the screen menus for Teen Titans: The Complete Second Season.

The two-disc set will be in stores on Sept. 19, along with The Batman: The Complete Second Season.

Here's how Warner Home Video describes the set:

"Season 2 follows the Titans as they befriend Terra, a free-spirited teenager with incredible earth-manipulating powers and a knack for fighting crime. However, trusting this newcomer could prove to be a fatal mistake for the Teen Titans when their arch nemesis Slade tries to win her loyalty. Terra's volatile powers and personal vulnerability makes her the perfect target for his twisted plans."

The primary extra is "Catching Up with...Teen Titans," a montage of clips -- with episode titles attached -- from the first season.

In other Teen Titans news, a represenative for Warner Home Video told The Continuum that Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo, the direct-to-DVD movie that was screened at Comic-Con International last month, still does not have a release date. A trailer for the film on the Season 2 collection mentions the release as "this fall."

THE FOUNTAIN PREMIERES

Warner Bros. has announced that The Fountain will make its North American premiere at the Toronto Film Festival on Tuesday, Sept. 12.

The Fountain is the latest from writer/director Darren Aronofsky, who also wrote a graphic novel that has been released by DC Comics. The film will be released domestically on Nov. 22.

Here's how Warner Bros. describes The Fountain:

"The Fountain stars Hugh Jackman, Rachel Weisz and Ellen Burstyn in an odyssey about one man's eternal struggle to save the woman he loves. His epic journey begins in 16th-century Spain, where conquistador Tomas commences his search for the Fountain of Youth, the legendary entity believed to grant immortality. As modern-day scientist Tommy Creo, he desperately struggles to find a cure for the cancer that is killing his beloved wife, Isabel. Traveling through deep space as a 26th-century astronaut, Tom begins to grasp the mysteries that have consumed him for a millennium.

""The three stories converge into one truth, as the Thomas of all periods -- warrior, scientist, and explorer -- comes to terms with life, love, death and rebirth."
