The CW has begun airing a 30-second spot promoting the sixth season of Smallville, which includes the first look at Justin Hartley as Green Arrow.
The trailer features scenes from the sixth-season opener, "Zod." At one point, Lex Luthor, apparently possessed, flies down to Clark and says, "Kneel before Zod."
The spot also shows Aaron Ashmore as Jimmy Olsen as Chloe introduces Clark to him.
"Whoa, they grow them big in Kansas, don't they?" Olsen says.

TEEN TITANS: CARTOON NETWORK EPISODES FOR SEPTEMBERSeptember figures to be a big month for the Teen Titans animated series on Cartoon Network.
Not only does the Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo movie debut on Friday, Sept. 15, the series is returning to twice-a-day showings on weekdays starting, Tuesday, Sept. 5.
The 6 a.m. episodes will begin with Teen Titans' first episode and continue in order throughout the month.

FANTASTIC FOUR: CARTOON NETWORK EPISODES FOR SEPTEMBERCartoon Network has provided The Continuum a rundown of air dates, times and titles for the first five episodes of the Fantastic Four animated series, as well as synopses for the first four episodes.

JAMES MCAVOY IN WANTED James McAvoy has landed the starring role in Wanted, a live-action film adaptation of the Top Cow comic-book series by Mark Millar and J.G.Jones.
"We are very excited to land such a talented young actor for our main lead," producer Jason Netter told The Continuum. "He is perfect for the role, and I think we are getting him right at the time he is about to become a household name. He should help make Wanted the franchise we feel it should become."
McAvoy, 27, starred in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and has several upcoming movies. His previous film credits include Rory O'Shea Was Here and Wimbledon.
The film, set up at Universal Pictures, will be directed by Russian filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov.
Marc Platt, Jim Lemley and Netter will produce, with Top Cow's Marc Silvestri as an executive producer.
Wanted was first optioned in 2004.

MARVEL COMICS' CIVIL WAR CHECKLISTFollowing its announcement earlier his week that it was pushing back several Civil War titles, Marvel Comics on Friday released a new checklist for the event.

BRIEFLY* Dynamite Entertainment on Friday announced that Tony Harris is joining Dave Dorman as ongoing cover artists for its Highlander comic-book series.
"I have always loved the movie and Chris Lambert has such an intense face that the covers have been a blast to work on," Harris said.
* Sci Fi will rebroadcast the Painkiller Jane movie on Wednesday, August 30 at 9 p.m. Although it served as a pilot for the upcoming Painkiller Jane series, it is unlikely that the film will be in continuity of the series.
* Active Images announced that Elephantmen #1 has sold out of its initial print run of 16,000 through Image Comics. There will be a second printing of the issue.
