COMING SUNDAY

Canadian Fan Expo news -- and more!!!

CANADIAN FAN EXPO: BLADE THE SERIES

Geoff Johns, a supervising producer of Spike TV's Blade: The Series, told The Continuum that the season finale will be titled "Conclave."

"I co-wrote the last episode with (David) Goyer and Dan Truly," Johns said during a signing at the Canadian Fan Expo on Saturday. "It's a story with a lot of big twists and turns. And people get hurt."

"Conclave" is scheduled to air on Wednesday, Sept. 13.

Spike TV has not announced whether it will renew Blade for a second season. Johns told The Continuum that a decision probably will not be announced until after the season finale.

CANADIAN FAN EXPO: X-MEN: EVOLUTION'S BRAD SWAILE

X-Men: Evolution's Brad Swaile staged a panel at the Candian Fan Expo Friday night, but it was really more of a chat with old friends.

The Vancouver native has been in Toronto before, and, based on suggestions from previous appearances, he arrived in a Star Wars costume, played the guitar, sang and acted shy toward the girls who all seemed very familiar his numerous anime projects. More than half of the audience members had seen Swaile in previous convention appearances.

When it came time for questions, the first one pertained to X-Men: Evolution and how he identified with Nightcrawler, the character he voiced through the show's four seasons on Kids' WB!.

CANADIAN FAN EXPO: MARVEL'S CIVIL WAR PANEL

Marvel Comics chose an appropriate place -- the Canadian Fan Expo in Toronto -- to announce a new Omega Flight title on Saturday.

The ongoing series, slated for 2007, will be written by Michael Avon Oeming and drawn by Scott Kolins.
