WWE wrestler Batista will play a villian from the Phantom Zone in The CW's Smallville, The Continuum has learned.
Batista's appearance will be in the season's ninth episode, which will likely air during the November sweeps.
A one-time "world champion" in the WWE, Batista is nicknamed The Animal and is one of the most popular wrestlers in The CW's -- and formerly UPN's -- Friday Night Smackdown.

SUPERGIRL ON DVD
Warner Home Video has released an image of the box art for the upcoming DVD of the Supergirl movie.
The single-disc release is scheduled for Nov. 28. It will cost $14.97.
The 1984 film starred Helen Slater and Faye Dunaway.
