IDW PUBLISHING'S 24: NIGHTFALLIDW Publishing has provided The Continuum with a preview of the first issue of its six-issue 24: Nightfall mini-series.
Scheduled for a November launch, 24: Nightfall is written by J.C. Vaughn and Mark L. Haynes, the team behind 24: Midnight Sun, with pencils and inks by Jean Diaz. Variant covers on each issue will be provided by Joe Corroney, and all of Corroneyıs covers will make up one large poster image.
Here's how IDW describes the mini-series:
"24: Nightfall is a prequel to the ongoing hit Fox television series. Before the clock started ticking on Season One, Jack Bauer was the head of an elite Special Forces team sent to take down the mass-murder, Victor Drazen -- a most challenging task by any means, especially in the war-torn former Yugoslavia. Events quickly spiral out of control, as the hunters become the hunted -- and the truth behind the pivotal Operation: Nightfall is revealed."
"For fans of 24, particularly those who have been on the edges of their seats since Season One, this is the story that sets everything in motion for Jack Bauer," Vaughn said. "The events in Season One were directly related to events two years to the day earlier. Now our readers will get to see exactly what happened and lead to the coolest show on television."

SMALLVILLE'S "SNEEZE"The CW has released a description for "Sneeze," the new episode of Smallville scheduled to air on Thursday, Oct. 5.
Here's how the network describes the episode:
"Clark (Tom Welling) works hard to clean up the destruction done by Zod and develops what he thinks is his first cold. However, he soon discovers it is a new power - super breath! Lois (Erica Durance) lands a job at The Inquisitor, the local tabloid, and Lana (Kristin Kreuk) moves in with Lex (Michael Rosenbaum), who believes someone is following him, which quickly proves to be true after he is kidnapped."
"Sneeze" was written by Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer and directed by Paul Shapiro.

JOSH HOWARD ALTERNATES VIPER TITLESViper Comics has announced that Josh Howard's new series, The Lost Books of Eve, will alternate every month with his other Viper series, Dead@17.
After Dead@17 #3 this October, the book will go on a bi-monthly schedule shipping in December, February, April, etc., while The Lost Books of Eve will ship in the intervening months with issue #1 in November, followed by issues in January, March, etc.
"Two great books and fans still get their dose of Josh Howard every month," said Jessie Garza, president of Viper Comics.
Here's how Viper describes The Lost Books of Eve:
"Journey back to a time when magic still thrived, dragons and fallen gods roamed the earth, and man was just a myth. The Garden of Eden was a place of perfect peace and tranquility. That is, until its keeper, Adam, went missing. Now, his newly created wife, Eve, must venture outside the safety of the Garden for the first time to go in search of her husband, all the while battling monsters, beast men, wizards, demons, and even the gods themselves. It's the fun and adventure of Samurai Jack mixed with the epic scope of Lord of the Rings."
"We're thrilled to not only offer Josh's return to the world that started it all, Dead@17, but also a look into the future of his comic book career with The Lost Books of Eve," Garza said. "The fun and action of this book will have a broad appeal to longtime Josh fans and new readers alike."
