MARVEL SOLICITATIONS COMING TUESDAY

Marvel Comics will release its December solicitations at noon (ET) on Tuesday. To get the complete listings, CLICK HERE at noon on Tuesday.

AL GOUGH TALKS SMALLVILLE OPENER

Al Gough, executive producer of Smallville, told The Continuum that the show is going to make a big splash for its sixth season -- and first on The CW.

"We've got everything crossed we can possibly have crossed for the launch of Season 6 and the new CW network," Gough told The Continuum. "I can honestly tell you that this will be our biggest season opener in Smallville history.

"You are going to see inside the Phantom Zone, you are going to see Zod, you are going to see Jimmy Olsen, as well as an incredible amount of action, spectacle, humor and, of course, heart."

Smallville actually makes its CW debut on Thursday with a repeat of "Vessel," last season's finale. The sixth-season opener, "Zod," will air on Thursday, Sept. 28.

The CW combines the old WB and UPN networks, and in some markets as large as Detroit, the series will be on a new channel.

"The show remains on Thursday at 8 p.m., and in most of the country -- 67 percent to be exact -- it will be on the same channel," Gough said. "For everyone in markets where the network is switching, please consult the CW website for the local listing. Hopefully they've been blitzing the airwaves with the info...so please watch and tell all of your friends!"
