Together, they'll face creatures, bounty hunters and other evils vying for the weapon. In the meantime, they'll have to deal with each other!"

FIRST LOOK: THE OTHER SIDE #1
The Other Side #1 will arrive in stores on Oct. 4 from DC Comics. The issue is written by Jason Aaron, with art and cover by Cameron Stewart.
Here's how DC describes the book:
"1968. The height of the Vietnam War. Two young men from opposite ends of the earth must drag themselves through Hell for the opportunity to kill one another.
"The Other Side is a 5-issue mini-series following Bill Everette, a 19-year-old Alabama farm boy drafted into the Marine Corps whose only goal is to come home alive, and Vo Binh Dai, a 19-year-old Vietnamese farm boy who enlists in the People's Army of Vietnam, terrified only of failing in his duty to die bravely for his country.
"Along the way, Private Everette encounters demonically vicious Parris Island drill instructors, talking maggots, voiceless ghosts, jaded grunts, man-eating pigs, maniacal rats, leeches that quote William Blake, a rifle that begs him to shoot himself and occasionally even the enemy. Vo Dai must undertake the long march south down the Strategic Trail, through black forests and bloody swamps, over pockmarked earth and fields of fire, past tigers and dragons and mounds of the dead, past exhaustion, beyond endurance. At turns, wholly fantastic yet always heartbreakingly realistic.
"The Other Side is an epic tragedy about America's most haunting war. A surreal exploration of the Vietnam war from opposing viewpoints. A horror story about the horrors of war."
The Other Side #1 will be 32 pages and will cost $2.99.
FIRST LOOK: STAN LEE MEETS THE THING
Stan Lee Meets The Thing will arrive in stores on Oct. 25 from Marvel Comics. The issue is written by Stan Lee and Roy Thomas, with art by Lee Weeks and and Scott Kolins and a cover by Weeks.
Here's how Marvel describes the issue:
"The third special in the Stan Lee Meets series features 'The Man' meeting none-other-than the ever-loving blue-eyed Thing. In Stan Lee Meets the Thing, the man who helped create the House of Ideas gets to meet one of his favorite creations, Ben Grimm of the Fantastic Four.
"Celebrating his 65th year of working at Marvel, Lee is penning an all-new story where he writes himself into a story brought to life with the pencils of Lee Weeks. The story finds Lee making the mistake of bicycling through Yancy Street, which Ben Grimm will tell you is never a good idea.
"Plus, Roy Thomas and Scott Kolins present another all-new tale featuring Lee, depicting an untold incident during Stan's years in the service with guest appearances by some of the wildest characters of comics' golden age!
"And what would be a special about łThe Man˛ without including one of his classic stories. Stan Lee Meets the Thing will also feature a reprint of Fantastic Four #79, which featured a major turning point in the relationship between the Thing and on-again, off-again flame Alicia Masters."
Stan Lee Meets The Thing will be 48 pages and will cost $3.99.
