MARGOT KIDDER TALKS RICHARD DONNER CUT

Margaret Kidder, who played Lois Lane in the Christopher Reeve Superman movies, appeared on Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday to promote Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut.

Kidder has long been a proponent of having Donner's version of the film being released.

"I'm very excited because what we're finally going to see is what Superman II was supposed to look like," Kidder said.

Among the scenes shown were a fight between Superman and Zod around the Statue of Liberty and a kiss between Superman and Lois Lane.

"Chris was so much to me like a kid brother," Kidder said. "I remember pretending he was Harrison Ford. I had rather a large crush on Harrison.

"Chris and I didn't have sexual chemistry. We had serious brother/sister chemistry, and you don't want to be kissing your brother."

Kidder said she did not enjoy the attention the Superman films brought.

"I just hated it," she said. "I felt like a monkey in a cage at the zoo and everyone is peering at me. I used to scream expletives at the paparazzi at the airport."

To the right is the recently released HD version of the packaging for the film, due in stores on Nov. 28.
