COMING WEDNESDAY

First Looks -- and much more!!!

SMALLVILLE: "RAGE" AND "STATIC"

The CW has released 18 new images from upcoming episodes of Smallville.

Twelve images are from the "Rage" episode, scheduled for Thursday.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

"Clark (Tom Welling) discovers the Green Arrow (Justin Hartley) was shot while trying to save a couple from a carjacking, but Oliver denies he was injured. However, when Oliver starts displaying erratic behavior, Clark and Chloe (Allison Mack) investigate and discover he is taking a super-drug that causes his body to heal itself but has severe side effects. Meanwhile, Lana (Kristin Kreuk) makes a shocking discovery that will impact her relationship with Lex (Michael Rosenbaum)."

Six images are from "Static," scheduled for Nov. 16 and guest-starring WWE Smackdown's Batista.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

"Clark (Tom Welling) learns a Zoner has landed in Seattle and slaughtered the entire crew of a working ship. Upon investigation, Clark comes face to face with a horrifying Phantom (Batista) who sucks the bones out of people. Meanwhile, a patient (guest star Elias Toufexis) with the ability to morph into different frequencies escapes from LuthorCorps' secret experimental lab and seeks revenge on Lex by imprisoning him in another spatial period where he can see and hear everyone but no one can see him."

HEROES: "HOMECOMING"

NBC has released five more images from "Homecoming," the Monday, Nov. 20 episode of Heroes.

Here's how NBC describes the episode:

"As H.R.G. tries to protect his daughter by any means, Claire's high school homecoming turns into a frightening night. Meanwhile, Nathan and Simone work together to find Isaac's painting for Peter -- but this key to the future could lead to tragedy.

"Elsewhere, Hiro travels back in time to right an upsetting wrong and as Niki puts a goal in sight, Micah spends time with his dad (Leonard Roberts). Still experiencing strange dreams while in India, Suresh learns of a boy that might pull him back into his father's research."

DC COMICS RECONFIGURES TRANSMETROPLITAN TRADES

DC Comics announced on Tuesday that it is reconfiguring four titles in Vertigo's Transmetropolitan collected edition series in the spring, putting more stories by Warren Ellis and Darick Robertson in each of two newly created volumes.

Transmetropolitan Vol. 1: Back on the Streets and Transmetropolitan Vol. 2: Lust for Life will be combined into a single, new Transmetropolitan Vol. 1: Back on the Streets TP, featuring issues #1-12 of the series.

In its new configuration, the series will be comprised of a total of nine volumes.

At the same time, Transmetropolitan Vol. 10: One More Time and Transmetropolitan Vol. 0: Tales of Human Waste will be combined into the single, new Transmetropolitan Vol. 9: One More Time TP, featuring Transmetropolitan #55-60 and the specials Transmetropolitan: I Hate it Here and Transmetropolitan: Filth of the City. This title also will include two Transmetropolitan stories from the Vertigo: Winter's Edge Specials, which were previously available in Transmetropolitan Vol. 3: Year of the Bastard and Transmetropolitan Vol. 4: The New Scum.

The covers of the new titles will be redesigned to prominently feature the creators' names. DC will renumber the intermediate volumes of Transmetropolitan TPs as they go out of stock and are sent back to press.
