MARVEL COMICS FIRST LOOKS

FIRST LOOK: THE IMMORTAL IRON FIST #1

The Immortal Iron Fist #1 will arrive in stores on Nov. 29 from Marvel Comics. The issue is written by Ed Brubaker and Matt Fraction, with art and cover by David Aja.

Here's how Marvel describes the issue:

"Many years ago, in the mystical city of Kun' Lun, young Danny Rand stared at a suit behind glass -- the garb of 'the Immortal Iron Fist' -- and knew that he was destined to wear it. But where did this costume come from? Why did it wait for Danny all those years like a shadow of his future? The answer to those questions will stun both him and his readers, as Danny Rand leaps from the pages of his breakout hit in Daredevil to his own series - a history-spanning kung-fu epic that will shatter every perception of what it means to be the Immortal Iron Fist!"

Iron Fist #1 will be 40 pages and will cost $2.99.

FIRST LOOK: SPIDER-MAN: REIGN #1

Spider-Man: Reign #1 will arrive in stores on Dec. 6 from Marvel Comics. The issue is by Kaare Andrews.

Here's how Marvel describes the book:

"A searing vision of Spider-Man's future. They finally did it. Kicked them to the curb. The 'capes and tights' crowd -- there's no place for them in the Big Apple anymore. Peter Parker? He can't even remember what it was like to don the red and blue and swing through the night sky. Doesn't want to, anyway. After all, there's nothing left to fight for, is there? That is until an old 'friend' appears on Peter's doorstep, bearing a package and a message -- and everything changes. If it's not Peter's responsibility, then whose is it?"

Spider-Man: Reign #1 will be 48 pages and will cost $3.99.
