SPIDER-MAN: BACK IN BLACK

Marvel Comics released cover images and a checklist of issues for "Spider-Man: Back in Black," a story that will run from February through May.

Here's how Marvel describes the stunt:

"Hunted, his identity exposed, and those he loves caught in the crosshairs; Spider-Man's life has been a nightmare during Civil War, and the darkest days are yet to come. Now, the most recognizable character in comics finds himself donning one of the most controversial costumes ever as he goes underground and back to his black duds and must fight back to reclaim his life."

Following are the titles involved:

* AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #539-542: Written by J. Michael Straczynski, art and covers by Ron Garney.

* FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN #17-21: Written by Peter David, art by Todd Nauck.

* SENSATIONAL SPIDER-MAN #35-39: Written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, art and covers by Angel Medina.

HEROES: "SIX MONTHS AGO"

NBC has released five images from "Six Months Ago," the Monday, Nov. 27 episode of Heroes.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

As the clock turns back six months for all of the Heroes, Mohinder's father Chandra Suresh (guest star Erick Avari) arrives in New York to begin his quest to find individuals with extraordinary abilities, and meets someone all to eager to be special. Peter celebrates his graduation from nursing school, and learns that Nathan plans to prosecute a case that could mean trouble for the entire Petrelli family.

"A surprise visit from her father brings out the worst in Niki. Hiro attempts to be a hero and change the future for someone important. Claire joins the cheerleading squad and makes a curious discovery. H.R.G. and the Haitian meet someone special."

WIZARD WORLD TEXAS: INVINCIBLE IRON MAN

Posters handed out at Wizard World Texas revealed cast members for the Invincible Iron Man animated movie, to be released on Jan. 23.

Marc Worden returns from the two Ultimate Avengers movies to provide the voices of Tony Stark and Iron Man.

The cast also includes Gwendolyn Yeo as Li Mei, Rodney Saulsberry as Rhodey, Elisa Gabrielli as Pepper Potts, John McCook as Howard Stark and Fred Tatasciore as The Mandarin.

Yeo has appeared in several episodes of Desperate Housewives.

Tatasciore provided the voices of Hulk and Jarvis in the Ultimate Avengers movies.

The trailer for Iron Man was shown on Saturday at the Ultimate Alliance panel.



BRIEFLY

Dynamite Entertainment has released the covers for the first three issues of Witchblade: Shades of Gary #1, the first of three crossovers between Dynamite and Top Cow Productions.

Witchblade: Shades of Gray is a four-issue mini-series by writers Leah Moore and John Reppion and artist Stephen Segovia that launches in February.

The story will serve as the introduction to Dynamite's version of Oscar Wilde's murderous and mysterious title character from his novel The Picture of Dorian Gray, first published in 1890.
