Following its broadcast premiere of Spider-Man 2 on Thanksgiving, Fox will rebroadcast the first Spider-Man film on Christmas Eve.

Fox will air the movie on Sunday, Dec. 24 from 7:30-10 p.m. (ET/PT). Like the recent broadcast of Spider-Man 2, this airing of Spider-Man will also include material from Spider-Man 3.

Here's how Fox describes the movie:

"A genetically engineered spider bites teen science wiz Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) and alters his body chemistry to superhuman spider-like qualities. As a result, Peter ends up having to juggle three things in his life -- his new job at the local newspaper under a perpetually on-edge employer, his battle against the evil Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) and his fight to win the affections of his beautiful classmate, Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst). Is this challenge too much even for the amazing Spider-Man to handle?"

Spider-Man, released on May 3, 2002, remains Marvel's top-grossing film at $403.7 million domestically.

Sci Fi Channel on Monday announced plans for 2007, including Battlestar Galactica, Painkiller Jane and Who Wants To Be A Superhero?.

Battlestar Galactica will move to Sundays at 10 p.m. beginning Jan. 21, following the new series, The Dresden Files.

"Sundays have long been considered an important night for television. It's a signal to viewers that this is destination programming and should be considered appointment viewing," said Dave Howe, executive vice president and general manager of Sci Fi. "It only makes sense that SCI FI would plant its signature series there. We anticipate that the combination of Battlestar Galactica and The Dresden Files on Sunday nights will draw an even broader audience to the Channel."

2007 will see the return of SciFi's Friday night block with Stargate SG-1 (for its final 10 episodes) and Stargate Atlantis in April. The Gates will be joined on Friday nights by Painkiller Jane, starring Kristanna Loken. Painkiller Jane began production last month in Vancouver.

Sci Fi has nearly 210 hours of original programming planned for 2007, a 9 percent increase from 2006. It will include a second season of Who Wants To Be A Superhero? with Stan Lee and 24 Saturday night original movies.

Fox has released four images from "Kill Gill, Volumes I & II," the Sunday, Dec. 17 episode of The Simpsons.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

"The Simpsons are stuck with an unwanted house guest after they open their home to Gil for the Christmas holidays. After a full year, an attempt at getting him a job and many failed 'accidents,' Marge finally grows a backbone and throws Gil out -- on Christmas Eve. Meanwhile, Bart abstains from sweets for a year, and Lisa keeps her promise of putting on a musical in her brotheršs honor."
