BRIEFLY

* BCI Eclipse has announced a Feb. 27 release of Filmation's animated series Ghostbusters. Volume One will be available on DVD for the first time under BCI's Ink and Paint brand and will be released at a suggested retail price of $39.98.

The six-disc set contains the first 32 episodes in story continuity order with a host of bonus features, including creator interviews, the original promo pilot and a bonus episode of The Ghost Busters live-action series.

* According to The Hollywood Reporter, Columbia Pictures has purchased the film rights to The Shadow, to be produced by Sam Raimi, Josh Donen and Michael Uslan. Siavash Farahani is writing the screenplay.
