FIRST LOOK: BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: ZAREK #1
Battlestar Galactica: Zarek #1 will arrive in stores on Dec. 28 from Dynamite Entertainment. The issue is written by Brandon Jerwa, with art by Adriano Batista and covers by Batista and Stjepan Sejic.
Here's how Dynamite describes the issue:
"Revealing content from Zarek's own novel 'The Revolution Within,' issue #1 tells the untold origin of Tom Zarek and the Sagittaron colony. The four-issue series shows Tom's beginnings as he grows up in a loving home amidst a slave state and alongside a Cylon work force -- all in the shadow of the First Cylon War. It's through these humble - and tragic - beginnings that he becomes the man readers see in Battlestar Galactica today and this is where readers will learn all about him!"

Flare #36 will arrive in stores on Feb. 28 from Heroic Publishing. The issue is written by Wilson Hill, with art by Chris Marrinan and Rob Jones and a cover by Marrinan.
Here's how Heroic describes the issue:
"There are guest-stars galore when Nemesis Girl and Giant step over from Tales of the Champions into the pages of Flare, bringing the evil Doctor Pomegranate and his voomy not-evil (just ask her) niece Pammy along with them in an all-new adventure. Also in this issue, Flare's friendliest Argentinian rival stars in 'The Awesome Origin of the Winsome Whipperette.'"
