Television news -- an much more!!!

STAN LEE ON HEROES

Comics legend Stan Lee will appear in an upcoming episode of NBC's Heroes.

According to two publicity photos released by NBC, Lee will play a bus driver in the "Unexpected" episode scheduled to air on Monday, Feb. 19.

Lee appears with Masi Oka's Hiro Nakamura.

Lee has appeared in many of the Marvel films and has also had parts in such films as Kevin Smith's Mallrats.

Lee will appear in two Marvel movies this year: Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and Spider-Man 3. In Fantastic Four, he plays himself in a humorous scene involving Reed and Sue's wedding. Lee has said his role in Spider-Man 3 will have him talking with Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker.

Lee will not appear in Marvel's other 2007 film, Ghost Rider. Director Mark Steven Johnson, who used Lee in Daredevil, said he did not use him this time because the film was shot in Australia and because Lee did not create Ghost Rider.

THE BATMAN, LEGION OF SUPER HEROES TO RETURN

The Batman and Legion of Super Heroes are all but certainties to return for the 2007-2008 television season on Kids' WB!, The Continuum has learned.

An announcement on the Kids' WB! new season is expected early next week, probably on Tuesday.

It will be the fifth season for The Batman and the second for Legion.

Script work has already begun on both series, which will likely have most, if not all, of the primary creators returning.

Orders will likely be for 13 episodes of each show.

Look for more details and confirmation soon here in The Continuum.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

Lana (Kristin Kreuk) finds out about Tobias' gift, and fearing he will name Clark as one infected, offers him a cornea transplant in exchange for his silence. However, she is not prepared for Tobias' shocking news."

THE SIMPSONS: "LITTLE BIG GIRL"

Fox has released an image from "Little Big Girl," the Sunday, Feb. 11 episode of The Simpsons.

Here's how Fox describes the episode:

"When Lisa struggles to find excitement and intrigue in her family heritage for a school presentation, she decides to take creative license in crafting her heritage as a Native American, since it's only for a school project. What begins as an innocent embellishment quickly turns into a web of lies when Lisa is chosen to represent the school, and 'her people,' at City Hall, and then as a keynote speaker for the National Native American Tribal Council.

"As a reward for a heroic act, Bart is granted a driveršs license, and in an attempt to escape endless family errands and chauffeuring, he flees to a faraway town where he is romanced by Darcy, an older teenage girl whose expectations may prove to be too much for Bart."

Natalie Portman, from V for Vendetta and the last three Star Wars films, guest-stars as the voice of Darcy.
