News from MegaCon -- and much more!!!

Ghost Rider opened with an estimated $15.3 million on Friday and is on pace to break the President's Day weekend record at the box office.

By comparison, Daredevil, which was also directed by Ghost Rider's Mark Steven Johnson, pulled in $40.3 million in its first three days and $45.0 million over the expanded four-day weekend.

The film is a shoo-in to open No. 1 at the box office, becoming the 11th Marvel film to do so. It also figures to be the biggest opening film in Nicolas Cage's career.

It joins Blade, X-Men, Blade II, Spider-Man, Daredevil, X2, Hulk, Spider-Man 2, Fantastic Four and X-Men: The Last Stand as Marvel films to debut in the top spot.

Although his editor couldn't make it because of the weather, George Perez carried on with his The Brave and The Bold panel on Friday afternoon at MegaCon in Orlando.

The veteran artist talked about his schedule, characters he would like to draw and much more.
