COMING MONDAY!

DC Comics for July -- and much more!

SPIDER-MAN 3'S SANDMAN: THOMAS HADEN CHURCH

The villains in the Spider-Man movie franchise have had two major similarities: 1.) They have a personal connection to Peter Parker/Spider-Man; and 2.) They aren't moustache-twirling baddies out for world domination.

Such is the case in Spider-Man 3 with Thomas Haden Church's Sandman.

In other Spider-Man 3 news, Tobey Maguire will appear on NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Wednesday.

THE BATMAN: "THE JOINING"

Kids' WB! has begun promoting "The Joining," the two-part season finale of The Batman that will air on Saturday, April 28 and Saturday, May 5.

Promo spots airing on Saturday morning gave viewers the first look at The Batman's version of Martian Manhunter.

Here's how the first part of "The Joining" is described:

"John Jones, a new detective in Gotham, hints that he may know Batman's secret. Batman must uncover this mysterious figure's true identity and whether he is a friend or a foe. The answers prove shocking."

Here's how the second part is described:

"Gotham faces its biggest threat ever -- an alien invasion. Determined to save his city on his own, Batman learns even the greatest heroes must sometimes rely on a team."
