Warner Bros. Animation has provided The Continuum three images from "The Joining," the two-part season finale of The Batman that begins on Saturday on Kids' WB!.

Here's how the episode is described:

"Gotham faces its most devastating threat ever -- an alien invasion. Simultaneously, new detective John Jones (aka Martian Manhunter) arrives in Gotham and hints to Batman that he may know the Caped Crusader's secrets. Batman must uncover this mysterious figure's true identity and intentions and while combating the aliens. Ultimately, Batman discovers that even the greatest heroes must employ teamwork to save the day."

Guest voices in the episode include Dorian Harewood as John Jones/Martian Manhunter and Louis Gossett, Jr. as Lucius Fox.

During a recent visit to Warner Bros. Animation, The Continuum asked executive producer Alan Burnett if other heroes -- such as a rumored appearance by The Flash -- would be appearing in "The Joining."

"Flash? Maybe. You just might see him," Burnett said with a smile.

Burnett said The Batman has changed from the status quo from the show's beginning.

"The whole arc of the season has been to bring him out in a way from the shadows," he said. "This season, he's more of a super-hero who is trusted by the people, has Robin as an associate and Batgirl as an associate -- and J'onn J'onnz in the end. So he's not the complete loner he was at the beginning of the series."
