NBC has released 10 images from "How to Stop an Exploding Man," the season finale of Heroes set to air on May 21.

Here's how NBC describes the episode:

"Heroes rise and fall in the shocking season finale written by executive producer/creator Tim Kring and directed by executive producer Allan Arkush.

"With Isaac's horrible predictions all unfolding before them, the everyday people with extraordinary abilities face moments of pain and peril in Kirby Plaza with unflinching heroism, as Heroes' first volume comes to a close -- and the next surprisingly begins."

The film dropped roughly 60 percent from its record-setting opening weekend of $151.2 million.

The weekend pushed Spider-Man 3's domestic total to $242.0 million. It becomes the fifth Marvel movie to top $200 million, following Spider-Man ($403.7 million), X2 ($214.9 million), Spider-Man 2 ($373.6 millon) and X-Men: The Land Stand ($234.4 million).

The bloody origin behind the horror film 2001 Maniacs will be unveiled in a new comic book from Avatar Press in July. Authorized by horror icon Robert Englund, the 2001 Maniacs Special #1 will feature his character, Mayor George W. Buckman, and the original cast of Maniacs from the movie.

Written by the writer/director of the movies, Tim Sullivan, the comic features the full-color art of Raulo Caceres.

The 2001 Maniacs comic book and the upcoming movie sequel, 2002 Maniacs: Beverly Hellbillies, will both be featured at Comic-Con International in San Diego, supported by both cast and crew.

"I am so excited that our 'comic book' inspired movie has literally become a real comic book," said Englund, best known as the horror legend Freddy Krueger. "Now, fans of the series will finally get to learn the back story of my character, Mayor George W. Buckman, and his ill-fated brethren."

"Free of the filmmaking limitations imposed by budget and schedule, this comic will go places I only dreamed of going," Sullivan said. "With not only Avatar's blessing but request, we will be pushing the envelope in all directions, so expect an extremely sexual, violent, madcap, satirical, over-the-top, politically incorrect thrill ride."

The book marks Sullivan's first venture into comics writing and will be in continuity with the films, including characters who will appear in the sequels. The comic will also be featured in the DVD of the sequel.
