SPIDER-MAN 3 BOX OFFICE
Spider-Man 3's reign at the top of the box office ended on Friday as the film dropped to second place.
Spider-Man 3 pulled in an estimated $8 million to place second behind Shrek the Third. Spider-Man 3's domestic total was $261.4 million heading into Saturday.
Shrek the Third pulled in $38.1 million and shouldn't challenge the $151.2 million opening weekend Spider-Man 3 had two weeks ago.
The second Shrek movie outgrossed the second Spider-Man film in 2004, $441.2 million to $373.6 million.
