FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER'S BEAU GARRETT

Another piece of the comics legend has been added to the Fantastic Four movie franchise with the introduction of Frankie Raye in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

Frankie is played by Beau Garrett, a 24-year-old GUESS! model-turned-actress. Garrett starred in last year's Turitas and has guest-starred on television series such as Entourage North Shore.

The movie Frankie is a Captain in the Army and an aide to Andre Braugher's General Hager, who seeks the Fantastic Four's help in dealing with the Silver Surfer.

One thing about Frankie is very consistent with the comics.

"There is one Fantastic Four character who is trying woo me, I think. I think we all know he is. He's the overly flirtatious one," Garrett said with a laugh.

"Johnhy Storm is trying to be flirtatious and we'll see how that goes for him."

Garrett said her character is a "military brat."

"She's a tough girl," she said. "She's a tough cookie."

In other Fantastic Four news:

* Jessica Alba and Michael Chiklis appeared on ESPN2's First Take on Tuesday, talking about their favorite sports teams and Boston Red Sox fan Chiklis' hatred of the New York Yankees.

They also pitched the movie, of course.

"The CGI, the action we have in this movie is way better, way more pumped-up than the first movie," Alba said. Our first movie was a set-up picture. It was an origin film. We had to set up who we were.

"Now everyone knows. So we get straight into the action, five minutes into the movie until it's over."

Chiklis said he was happy with how the film turned out. "It's a very good movie," he said.

The pair then appeared on ESPNews on Tuesday afternoon.

FANTASTIC FOUR: "PUPPET MASTER"

"Puppet Master," a new episode of Cartoon Network's Fantastic Four animated series, is scheduled to premiere on Saturday at 9:30 p.m.

Here's how the episode is described:

"When a cosmic-ray saturated piece of the Fantastic Four's space station falls to earth on the Jersey Shore, the clay of eccentric local sculptor Phillip Masters, becomes energized with the power to control the minds and actions of others. The sculptor becomes The Puppet Master and uses miniature clay versions of the Fantastic Four to control the real heroes. Puppet Master captures award-winning New York artists, including his own step-daughter, Alicia, in an attempt to take over his 'rightful place' in the art world."

Alvin Sanders, who played Dale Ross in Smallville, is providing the voice of Phillip Masters.
