SUNDAY, JUNE 17, 2007WIZARD WORLD PHILADELPHIA: WILDSTORM PANEL
PHILADELPHIA -- DC Comics concluded its Wizard World Philadelphia programming with a panel devoted to WildStorm Productions on Sunday.
Following are highlights:
* Donna Troy, Kyle Rayner, Jason Todd will be visiting the WildStorm Universe in Countdown Presents The Search for Ray Palmer: WildStorm #1 in September. They will be meeting Authority and Gen 13.
* The Ex Machina: Masquerade special, originally planned for Halloween, is now scheduled for August.
* Keith Giffen is writing issues of Midnighter with #10.
* In September's Gen 13 #12, the I.O. finally catches up with the rogue Gen13 kids and they
send in the heavy hitters to bring them down: the Authori-teens.
* New Line Cinema's Tales of Horror in September includes Nightmare on Elm Street and Texas Chainsaw Massacre in September. Christos Gage and Peter Milligan and writing, with a cover by Darick Robertson.
* Presents Vol. 1 is a new horror book from CMX and creator Kanako Inuki that launches in October. Also debuting from CMX is Variante Vol. 1, a horror title about a murderous entity who controls the arm of an innocent girl.
* DC Comics' Bob Wayne said there are discussions for a second Supernatural mini-series, based on the CW series.
* Wayne said that WildStorm intends to finish the Wildcats and Authority stories. He added that Lee is almost finished with All Star Batman and Robin, the Boy Wonder with #7.
* Wayne on the Planetary finale: "Just because Warren (Ellis) has finished writing it, doesn't mean all the work is done."
* Asked about a Veronica Mars comic, Wayne said, "There's nothing for me to say one way or the other. If there would be one, that would be pretty cool."
