MARVEL COMICS FIRST LOOKS

FIRST LOOK: X-FACTOR #21

X-Factor #21 will arrive in stores on July 11 from Marvel Comics. The issue is written by Peter David and Mike Carey, with art by Pablo Raimondi and Mark Bagley and a cover by Raimondi.

Here's how Marvel describes the issue:

"After years of planning and waiting, the frightening Isolationist finally leaves his castle of ice to hunt down the man known as Jamie Madrox . But is the Isolationist a friend or foe to the X-Factor? Even the most ardent X-Fan may not know that The Isolationist made his debut back in the pages of X-Factor (vol. 1) #89, when David hinted at the agenda of this shadowy figure. Now a decade's long mystery will be revealed...and will leave the members of X-Factor reeling!

FIRST LOOK: NEW X-MEN #40

New X-Men #40 will arrive in stores on July 11 from Marvel Comics. The issue is written by Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle, with art by Skottie Young and Scot Eaton, with a cover by Young.

Here's how Marvel describes the issue:

"The New X-Men have been transported to the realm of Limbo, but things are not looking good for the young team of mutants. The evil Belasco, who will stop at nothing to achieve his own goals, has already captured several members of the team.

"While the New X-Men duel with Belascošs forces in Limbo an enigmatic girl makes her appearance, but why is she the spitting image of a certain Russian mutant who supposedly died years ago? Also, will one of the New X-Men actually lose her soul!?

"New X-Men #40 also includes the fourth chapter of Endangered Species. Beast, must solve the riddle of mutant extinction before time runs out for the X-Men and mutants everywhere!"

FIRST LOOK: THE LONERS #4

The Loners #4 will arrive in stores on July 5 from Marvel Comics. The issue is written by C.B. Cebulski, with art by Karl Moline and a cover by Jason Pearson.

Here's how Marvel describes the book:

Once she fought aliens and super­villains as the brainy member of Power Pack; now she's trying to become a star in Hollywood - - which is the tougher challenge for Lightspeed?
