THE DARKNESS VIDEO GAME

Sales figures won't be available for a while, but it appears that 2K's video game based on Top Cow Productions' The Darkness is a success.

"Anecdotally we've been getting reports of sell-outs from 2K from a number of sales outlets, including Target, Gamestop, and EB Games, and that the game is tracking well above everyone's expectations," said Filip Sablik, Top Cow's vice-president, marketing and sales.

"We couldn't be more thrilled with the combined critical success and sales velocity of the game."

The game was released for for Xbox 360 and PlayStation3 this week and is currently the focus of a national television campaign.
