SUPERMAN/DOOMSDAY DVD

The Continuum has obtained a first look at the animated cameo appearance by filmmaker/comics writer Kevin Smith in the upcoming direct-to-DVD Superman Doomsday movie.

Superman Doomsday is based on the "Death of Superman" comic-book story, and a decade ago Smith wrote a live-action Superman screenplay that incorporated elements of that story.

Smith's involvement in the Superman franchise is part of his cameo.

Superman Doomsday will be in stores on Sept. 18. It will make its world premiere on Friday at Comic-Con International in San Diego at 8:30 p.m. (PT).
