MARVEL COMICS FIRST LOOKS

FIRST LOOK: SUB-MARINER #3

Sub-Mariner #3 will arrive in stores on August 15 from Marvel Comics. The issue is written by Matt Cherniss and Peter Johnson, with art by Phil Briones and a cover by Leinil Francis Yu.

Here's how Marvel describes the issue:

"After plowing through Iron Man and his armada of S.H.I.E.L.D. submarines, Namor searches for his old ally, Charles Xavier, only to find the Canadian berserker ready and waiting for a scrap at the gates of the X-Mansion! Meanwhile, sinister figures are lurking in the shadows; the rogue Atlanteans make plans to murder their 'traitor king,' but the vicious Venom might beat them to the punch if he develops a taste for seafood!"

Sub-Mariner #3 will be 32 pages and will cost $2.99.

FIRST LOOK: HALO: UPRISING #1

Halo: Uprising #1 will arrive in stores in August from Marvel Comics. The issue is written by Brian Michael Bendis, with art and cover by Alex Maleev.

Here's how Marvel describes the issue:

"Aan epic story of mankind's struggle against the alien threat of the Covenant.
