SMALLVILLE SEASON 7: ERICA DURANCE

Erica Durance, who is returning as Lois Lane for Season 7 of The CW's Smallville, said the upcoming season should be exciting for her character.

"Lois is going to start to get more involved in the Daily Planet," Durance said. "And there's an editor that comes along that is very interesting -- and interested -- and she toys around with that for a while, I assume.

"He embodies what she wants to become. And she wants to be this journalist. And she wants to be proud of what she does and have a career and have something that says 'This is me and this is what I embody.'

"I think that throughout the season she's going to be doing a lot more investigating, and kicking butt and getting out there and getting in people's faces."

Smallville executive producer Al Gough added that Lois will be clashing with Lex Luthor frequently.
