LEGION OF SUPER HEROES: SEASON 2

Yuri Lowenthal is pulling double duty for the second season of Kids' WB!'s Legion of Super Heroes.

He is returning as the voice of Superman and is also providing the voice of the 41st Century Superman, who joins the series beginning with the season opener on Saturday, Sept. 22.

"The big difference is the one you're more used to has a sense of humor and that makes him kind of funny," Lowenthal said. "And the one you're not used to yet, but will become used to hopefully, doesn't have a sense of humor and that makes him even funnier than the other one.

"He's really serious and sort of consumed with vengeance for a good portion. It puts him at odds with the rest of the group at first, but it doesn't take him too long to get with the rest of the program."

Lowenthal said he worked out the differences in the characters' voices.

"There was a little bit of finagling to find the two, but it came pretty quick," Lowenthal said.

Director Brandon Vietti described the characters as vastly different with one Superman as "more wholesome" and the other "more Conan-ish."

Lowenthal noted that in one episode, he actually voices three versions of Superman.

In other Legion news:

* Expect to see more new members in Season 2.

"Everyone that's been in the Legion practically is going to appear, except for a few we are saving," producer James Tucker said.

Dream Girl, Karate Kid, Nemesis Kid, Invisible Kid and Dawnstar are among those showing up this season.
