IRON MAN'S GWYNETH PALTROW

Gwyneth Paltrow, who plays Tony Stark's assistant Pepper Potts in the upcoming Iron Man movie, said the relationship between her character and Robert Downey Jr.'s is "complicated."

"Their relationship is really multi-dimensional," Paltrow said during a recent roundtable interview. "She's very much his confidante, she's the closest person to him. Therešs something very loving in a fraternal way in that she's looking after him.

"But then they have a very kind of bantery, sexy thing happening, too. So it moves into different areas, too."

JOHN LARROQUETTE ON THE BATMAN

John Larroquette is providing the voice of Mirror Master in the upcoming season of Kids' WB!'s The Batman.

Larroquette, 59, is perhaps best known as Asst. D.A. Dan Fielding in Night Court from 1984-92. He also starred in The John Larroquette Show from 1993-96. More recently, he appeared in Boston Legal.

The Mirror Master appears in an episode featuring The Flash.

"He uses mirrors in a way that I don't think has been used in animation so far," The Batman producer Alan Burnett said. "There's a point in which you wonder if Gotham's going to survive this guy.

"He's a supercilous sort of guy, very snobby. He's got a great costume that they've made for him for the show."

It's never revealed which version of The Flash is used, but Burnett said it's Barry Allen.

"It's a young Flash, and I grew up on Barry Allen," Burnett said. "We never take the mask off him, so all you Wally West fans can pretend it's Wally West."

The Flash episode is written by The Batman veteran Steve Melching, who also wrote for the second season of Legion of Super Heroes.
