COMING MONDAY

An interview with Superman Doomsday's Bruce Timm -- and much more!

THE BATMAN VILLAINS

Miguel Ferrer, who is starring in NBC's new Bionic Woman series, is providing the voice of Sinestro in the upcoming season of Kids' WB!'s The Batman.

Ferrer is coming off a six-year stint on Crossing Jordan, and his dozens of credits include the never-aired Justice League of America pilot. In Bionic Woman, he is playing Jonas.

Sinestro will be squaring off with Green Lantern, who is Hal Jordan in The Batman.

Sinestro is one of many new and returning villains for the fifth season of The Batman.

"The Superman/Batman two-part openerhas more villains that I can hold in my brain," producer Alan Burnett said. "You'll see Clayface, Black Mask, Bane, Mr. Freeze, Metallo, Lex Luthor, Mercy and Poison Ivy. It's a villain smorgasbord."

Other returning villains include Joker, Penguin, Harley Quinn, Ventriloquist/Scarface and Hugo Strange.

Among the new villains are Phosphorous, in a episode written by The Batman veteran Joseph Kuhr, and The Wraith, a rather obscure villain from the 1980s.

"He was in one issue, but it was a heck of an issue," Burnett said. "The was the anti-Batman. He supported the crooks like Batman supported the good people."

FAMILY GUY ON EMMY AWARDS

Fox has announced that Family Guy characters Stewie Griffin and Brian Griffin will appear on the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards, to air on Fox on Sunday, Sept. 16.

Stewie and Brian will pay tribute to the year in television with a song and dance number.

"One of the treats about doing the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards on Fox is the opportunity to recognize the network's contribution to animation," said Ken Ehrlich, executive producer of the telecast. "We're excited about a very unique performance by the cast of Family Guy, who will magically appear on the Emmy stage in their own original musical tribute to the year in television."

The voices of Stewie and Brian are both done by Seth MacFarlane, creator of Family Guy.
