THE BATMAN: SEASON 5

Kids' WB! has provided The Continuum with four new images from "The Batman/Superman Story," a two-part episode that kicks off The Batman's fifth season on Saturday, Sept. 22.

In additional, the network revealed several new details about the upcoming season:

* Hawkman will be one of the heroes with whom Batman will team.

* Lucius Fox, voiced by Louis Gossett Jr., will be a recurring character.

* A new Batarang will be part of Batman's ShadowTek arsenal.

* Count Vertigo will be one of the new villains. Firefly will return as Phosphorus.

* Jerry O'Connell will return as the voice of Nightwing. Desperate Housewives' Gwendoline Yeo will also provide a guest-voice.

LEGION OF SUPER HEROES: SEASON 2

Kids' WB! has provided The Continuum with four new images from "Man From the Edge of Tomorrow," a two-part episode that kicks off Legion of Super Heroes' second season on Saturday, Sept. 22.

In additional, the network revealed several new details about the upcoming season:

* The Future Superman goes by the name Kell-El.

* The original Superman will have a better understanding of his powers and is more capable than the Superman from the first season.

* In the opener, Kell-El brings the Legion to the 41st Century to help defeat Imperiex. But Imperiex turns the tables on the gang, traveling back to the 31st Century to crush the Legion's headquarters and free all of the LOSH's deadliest enemies, thus creating an army of super villains.

* The Legion members will discover old and lost relatives.

BRIEFLY

* The Universal HD channel is running a marathon on Saturday of episodes of Painkiller Jane that have aired so far on SciFi Channel. The marathon runs through 10 p.m.

* Superman guest-stars in DC Comics' Birds of Prey #113.
