Not surprisingly, Foster said he was a fan of the IDW Publishing comics story by Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith.

DC Comics on Tuesday announced that Chuck Dixon and Julian Lopez are stepping in for the previously announced team of Tony Bedard and Koi Turnbull on Batman and the Outsiders.

New covers are being done by Doug Braithwaite and by Ryan Sook for the first issue

Here's how DC describes the book:

'The new era for the team begins with Catwoman, Metamorpho, Katana, Grace and Martian Manhunter called into investigate a potential time bomb at Jardine Enterprises -- but will the new team's first mission also be its last?"

Batman and the Outsiders #1 will be in stores on Nov. 14.

Marvel Comics on Tuesday announced that titles bearing the Secret Invasion: Infiltration banner provide "crucial" tie-ins to its 2008 event, Secret Invasion.

According to the publisher, the tie-ins will provide information about about the machinations of the shape-shifting Skrulls, the secret agents hiding in the Marvel Universe and how the heroes prepare for the battle.

The tie-ins begin on Nov. 7 with the release of New Avengers: Illuminati #5 and Avengers: The Initiative Annual #1.

In New Avengers: Illuminati #5, by Brian Bendis, Brian Reed and Jimmy Cheung, the Illuminati come together to discuss the shocking discovery in New Avengers #31 -- the Skrull body of Elektra! As this evidence of invasion is presented to the group, they must decide what this means to the future of Earth and who they can trust.

By the end of the issue, the Illuminati will never be the same again as a revelation will leave the team stunned.

In Avengers: The Initiative Annual #1, from writer Dan Slott and a line-up of artists including Salvador Larroca, Clayton Henry, Patrick Scherberger and cover artist Jimmy Cheung, secrets of the Initiative are revealed. As the hidden origins of MVP, Armory, Hardball and more are brought to light, readers will gain insight into the inner workings of Tony Starkšs bold new vision and possibly into the Skrull invasion.
