THE SIMPSONS FOR NOVEMBER

Fox has lined up four new episodes of The Simpsons for the November sweeps, including an episode guest-starring comic-book creators.

Following is a rundown:

"Treehouse of Horror XVIII" on Sunday, Nov. 4: The fright-fest trilogy includes the vignettes "Mr. and Mrs. Simpson," in which Homer, living a double life as a secret agent assigned to eliminate Kent Brockman, finds that his competition, a mysterious female assassin, "hits" a little too close to home; "E.T. Go Home," in which Bart and Lisa come to the aid of Kodos, a space alien hiding from the government, who asks for help in obtaining a long list of devices so that he can "reconnect" with his home planet; and "Heck House," in which Flanders, driven to the breaking point by endless Halloween pranks perpetrated by Bart, Lisa and their friends, decides to spook the children straight by transforming the church into the "Heck House" and subjecting them to his supernatural wrath of seven deadly sins.

"Little Orphan Millie" on Sunday, Nov. 11: When Milhouse's parents are lost at sea and presumed dead, Milhouse decides it's time to begin acting like a real man, and his new 'tude makes him more attractive and popular than ever -- and than Bart. Meanwhile, Homer is in hot water when he can't remember the color of Marge's eyes.

"Husbands and Knives" on Sunday, Nov. 18: Jack Black guest-voices as Milo, the friendly owner of the new comic book store Coolsville, and real-life comic book creators Alan Moore, Art Spiegelman and Dan Clowes guest-voice as themselves. Comic Book Guy wages war on Coolsville as he attempts to win back his customers, while Marge, motivated to revamp her middle-aged physique, launches a gym for "regular women."

"Funeral for a Fiend" on Sunday, Nov. 25: Kelsey Grammer returns to guest-voice as the infamous Sideshow Bob, and is joined by his Frasier family -- David Hyde Pierce plays Sideshow Bob's dubious brother, Cecil Terwilliger, and John Mahoney is their father, Mr. Terwilliger. When Marge dreams that Keith Olbermann (guest-voicing as himself) chides her for fast-forwarding through television commercials, she makes restitution by watching hours of ads, and the entire Simpson family is influenced to visit Wes Doobner's World Famous Family Style Rib Huts, where Sideshow Bob is waiting in an elaborate hoax to lure them to their doom.
