Warner Bros. has tapped Greg Berlanti to direct a live-action Green Lantern movie.

Berlanti, 35, will write the movie with a pair of television writers/producers who have dipped into comics: Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green.

Berlanti's television credits include Dirty Sexy Money, Brothers & Sisters, Everwood, Jack & Bobby and Dawson's Creek. He directed the 2000 feature film The Broken Heats Club.

Guggenheim, who works with Berlanti on the telvision series Brothers & Sisters, has written such comics titles as Wolverine, Blade and The Flash: Fastest Man Alive. Green, a co-executive producer of Heroes, also worked with Berlanti before and has written such comics as Superman/Batman.

Donald De Line will produce.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will feature Hal Jordan and his origin story.
