STEVE MELCHING TALKS THE BATMAN

Steve Melching had written seven episodes of The Batman, but his episode this Saturday, "A Mirror Darkly," marked a couple of firsts for him.

"It was a real treat to write for a legendary character like The Flash -- one of my other faves in the DC Universe -- and explore Batman's relationship with another hero," Melching told The Continuum

"This episode also marks the first time I had the opportunity to work directly with the great Alan Burnett, whose work I have long admired. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous walking into his office to pitch ideas. He assures me the episode looks great, and I can't wait to see it for myself!"

Melching, whose credits include Fox Kids' X-Men, also wrote this season for Legion of Super Heroes.

Kids' WB!' has released four more images from "A Mirror Darkly." Click on the thumbnails for larger images.
