Marvel First Looks -- and more!

SMALLVILLE'S BLACK CANARY

Alaina Huffman is playing Black Canary in an upcoming episode of The CW's Smallville, The Continuum has learned.

It will be Huffman's second comic-book television role this year. She played Maureen Bower on Sci Fi Channel's Painkiller Jane through most of the season before her character was killed on a mission.

Huffman will appear in an episode that features Green Arrow. Justin Hartley is reprising his Season 6 role as Oliver Queen.

The episode, titled "Siren," has not been scheduled by The CW but should air early next year.

ALIENS VS. PREDATOR -- REQUIEM

20th Century Fox has released five images from the Aliens vs. Predator -- Requiem movie.

The images show the PredAlien and Victoria Bidwell, who plays Sue.

FLASH GORDON: "SORROW"

Sci Fi Channel has released five images from "Sorrow," the Friday, Nov. 9 episode of Flash Gordon.

The images show Gina Holden as Dale Arden, Eric Johnson as Flash Gordon, Karen Cliche as Baylin, John Ralston as Ming and Anna Van Hooft as Aura.

The network has yet to release a description of the episode.
