* Marvel Comics on Friday announced that Ultimates 3 #1 has sold out, with a second printing scheduled for Jan. 16. Ultimates 3 #1 Second Printing Variant Wraparound Cover will feature a new cover based on the interior art of Joe Madureira and Christian Lichtner.

* DC Comics on Friday announced that Simon Dark #1 has sold out. A second printing, with a new cover by Scott Hampton, will be in stores on Jan. 4.

* Image Comics on Thursday night announced that The Sword #1 and #3 have both sold out, with second printings in stores on Dec. 27.

* Sam Jones III will reprise his role as Pete Ross for the "Hero" episode of The CW's Smallville.
