PAINKILLER JANE ON DVD

Anchor Bay Home Entertainment will release Sci Fi Channel's Painkiller Jane on DVD on March 25.

The six-disc set will contain all the episodes from the season with a suggested price of $49.97.

Here's how Anchor Bay describes the set:

"Kristanna Loken of Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines and Bloodrayne stars as Jane Vasco, a tough-yet-sexy DEA agent recruited by a covert government unit to hunt superhuman neurological aberrations -- known as 'Neuros' -- who can do dangerous things with their minds. But when Jane discovers that she herself can rapidly heal from any injury, she begins to investigate her own disturbing background. In this sole season of the Sci Fi Channel series, Jane and her team battle assassins, arsonists, time loops, prison breaks, mythical beasts, undead armies, killer hallucinations and more, all in a bullet-riddled world of the very near future where nothing may be what it seems ...and pain is always a bitch."

Special features will include commentaries from Loken and castmate Noah Darby, along with a "making of" featurette from Budapest.

FANTASTIC FOUR UPDATE

Marvel Comics on Monday announced that Fantastic Four #554, the first issue of the run by Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch, has sold out, with a second printing scheduled.

The second printing will be in stores on March 19 and will feature Hitch's interior art for a new cover.

Hitch also provided an update on his progress with the series.

"I'm currently pencilling the ninth issue and am on the last pages of what may well become a super-sized Christmas special, which if included in the run would make me on issue eleven by now," Hitch said.

"What's so exciting about the reaction to our first issue is that the best is still to come. I know it's said often enough as hyperbole but having seen the completed eight issues and Christmas special, I can really say that the best we have is coming."
