SMALLVILLE ROUNDUP

James Marsters will be returning as Brainiac this season on Smallville, The Continuum has learned.

Look for Marsters, who is currently filming Dragonball in Mexico, to appear in the 18th episode of Season 7 and potentially again before the season's end.

In other Smallville news:

* The CW has released 15 images from the "Traveler" episode.

The images provide the first look at Gina Holden as Patricia Swann. She played Dale Arden in SciFi Channel's Flash Gordon.

* Phil Morris' return as Martian Manhunter might not happen anytime soon, a source told The Continuum. A moratorium on the character could be going into place because of the Justice League movie.
