COMING THURSDAY

The Spectacular Spider-Man, First Looks -- and more!

THE INCREDIBLE HULK MOVIE TRAILER, IMAGES

With The Incredible Hulk trailer debuting on Wednesday, Universal Pictures provided The Continuum 16 new images from the film.

The trailer and images provide the first look at the Hulk, as well as the Abomination.

Here's how Universal describes the film:

"The Incredible Hulk kicks off an all-new, explosive and action-packed epic of one of the most popular Super Heroes of all time. In this new beginning, scientist Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) desperately hunts for a cure to the gamma radiation that poisoned his cells and unleashes the unbridled force of rage within him: The Hulk.

Living in the shadows -- cut off from a life he knew and the woman he loves, Betty Ross (Liv Tyler) -- Banner struggles to avoid the obsessive pursuit of his nemesis, General Thunderbolt Ross (William Hurt), and the military machinery that seeks to capture him and brutally exploit his power.

"As all three grapple with the secrets that led to The Hulk's creation, they are confronted with a monstrous new adversary known as The Abomination (Tim Roth), whose destructive strength exceeds even The Hulk's own. And on June 13, 2008, one scientist must make an agonizing final choice: accept a peaceful life as Bruce Banner or find heroism in the creature he holds inside -- The Incredible Hulk."

THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN ROUNDUP

Greg Weisman, producer of Kids' WB!'s The Spectacular Spider-Man, told The Continuum he is dipping deep into the history of the character for the series.

"One thing that we take some pride in is that we haven't created a single original character," Weisman told The Continuum. "We've got 26 episodes at vary stages of development, ranging from complete to premise-approved. We've got a cast literally of hundreds, and not one of those is original. They all came from somewhere in the Spider-Man canon.

"Because that canon is so rich, if I want a drama teacher, why would I make up a drama teacher when I can get St. John Deveraux? Granted an obscure character that a lot of fans wouldn't remember of heard of, but at least two or three will have."

Weisman said the one character he could not use was Kingpin, whose rights are connected with the Daredevil franchise, even though he was part of MTV's Spider-Man series.

Look for more from Weisman soon here in The Continuum.
