DIEDRICH BADER IS BATMAN IN THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD

Diedrich Bader is providing the voice of Batman in Cartoon Network's Batman: The Brave and the Bold animated series, The Continuum has learned.

Cartoon Network has yet to confirm Bader's casting. Recording for the series -- announced last week -- started more than a month ago.

Bader, 41, is probably best known as Oswald from a nine-year run on The Drew Carey Show. He recently starred in the No. 1 film Meet the Spartans.

Bader's many animation credits include Zee in the Batman Beyond spin-off, The Zeta Project, and more recently as Shadow Thief in The Batman.



THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN SCHEDULE

Kids' WB has released its schedule for upcoming episodes of The Spectacular Spider-Man.

The series will air twice on Saturdays -- at 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. -- beginning this week.

Following is the schedule for April:

April 12: repeat of "Interactions" at 9:30 a.m. and premiere of "The Invisible Hand" at 10 a.m.

April 19: repeat of "Natural Selection" at 9:30 a.m. and repeat of "Competition" at 10 a.m.

April 26: repeat of "Market Forces" at 9:30 a.m. and premiere of "Catalysts" at 10 a.m.

* Lionsgate has released the outdoor artwork for The Spirit movie.

* Devil's Due has made available the corrected version of page 8 from Halloween: Nightdance #3. Due to a mix-up at the printer, page 8 was printed without lettering. The page will also be printed in Halloween: Nightdance #4 and appear corrected in the collected Halloween: Nightdance trade paperback, coming in July.

* According to Variety, Justin Marks has been hired to script Hack/Slash for Rogue Pictures. The adapation of the Devil's Due Publishing series will be directed by Todd Lincoln.

Marks has quickly accumulated several genre projects, including Voltron and Street Fighter for Fox and He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and Supermax (featuring Green Arrow) for Warner Bros.
