IRON MAN SOARS AT BOX OFFICE

The buzz has translated into box office.

Iron Man soared to the top of the box office on Friday. According to Variety, after pulling in an estiamted $5.1 million in Thursday night screenings, the film collected an estimated $33.4 million on Friday, pushing its total to $38.5 million.

It's the third-best Friday box office in May history, trailing only Spider-Man 3's $59.8 million and Spider-Man's $39.4 million. In 2003, X2's first Friday brought in $31.2 million.

Estimates have the movie bringing in $95-$105 million for the weekend.

The film, which opened in 4,105 theaters, has benefitted from strong world of mouth.

FAMILY GUY: "LONG JOHN PETER"

Fox has released five video clips from "Long John Peter," this Sunday's season finale of Family Guy.

The episode guest-stars Amanda Bynes.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

"Yo ho ho! It's a pirate's life for Peter when he gets a pet parrot. But after raising hell in Quahog and terrorizing the neighbors, Peter accidentally kills his beloved pet. Meanwhile, Chris goes with Brian to the vet and falls for the lovely intern Anna (Bynes)."
