MARVEL COMICS ROUNDUP

Marvel Comics on Wednesday unveiled Michael Turner's variant cover to Wolverine #66.

The issue, arriving in stores on June 18, kicks off the "Old Man Logan" story by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven.

In other Marvel news:

* Ultimates 3: March On Ultimatum! will collect the sold-out Ultimates 3 #1-3. The book will be on sale on June 18 and will cost $4.99.

* The publisher released two more teaser images from its upcoming Eternals series.

IRON MAN BOX OFFICE

Iron Man pulled in $3.0 million at the box office on Monday, placing second and pushing its total to $226.1 million.

The film dropped just 20 percent from the previous Monday.

Iron Man should pass X-Men: The Last Stand's $234.4 million this week and trail only the three Spider-Man films among Marvel movies.

While Spider-Man 3 had $284.7 million at the same point in release, it had $2.3 million on its 18th day of release, compared to Iron Man's $3.0.

Through Monday, the film had pulled in $435 million worldwide.

WATCHMEN FROM DC DIRECT

Following is initial solicitations on Monday, DC Comics has announced additional produce in the DC Direct line based on the Watchmen movie.

BRIEFLY

* Mark Bagley, artist of DC Comics' Trinity, has provided cover art for the May 26 issue of Sports Illustrated. The magazine spotlights the "Bizarro Baseball Season" and has a member of the upstart Tampa Bay Rays manhandling the New York Yankee's Derek Jeter.

This marks the first time a DC character has appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Both DC and SI are owned by Time-Warner.
