THE INCREDIBLE HULK BOX OFFICE

The Incredible Hulk topped the box office on Friday, pulling in an estimated $21.3 million.

By comparison, the 2003 Hulk movie opened on June 20, 2003 with $24.8 million and set a June record with a $62.1 million.

The Incredible Hulk opened in 3,505 theaters, as opposed to 3,606 for Hulk. The first Hulk film quickly dropped after its big opening weekend, finishing with $132.1 million.

The Incredible Hulk on Friday bettered the weekend's other big opener, The Happening, which pulled in $12.8 million.

Iron Man placed seventh on Friday with $1.4 million, pushing its total to $293.7 million. Iron Man should join the three Spider-Man movies as Marvel films to top $300 million.

BATMAN GOTHAM KNIGHT ON COMCAST

As part of its promotional tie-in with The Dark Knight, Comcast is offering a free segment of the animated Batman Gotham Knight movie through its OnDemand service.

The segment, one of six that comprise the film, is titled "Field Test." It is written by Jordan Goldberg, associate producer of The Dark Knight.

Here's how Comcast describes the segment:

"Writer Jordan Goldberg showcases the incredible arsenal Batman commands and reveals that there are some things even Batman won't do in the pursuit of justice."

The technology involves a electromagnetic pulse that would allow Batman to deflect incoming bullets.

In addition to Kevin Conroy, who provides the voice for Batman in all the segments, the cast of "Field Test" includes Corey Burton as The Russian, Will Friedle as Anton, George Newburn as Guido, Ron Paulsen as Maroni and Kevin Michael Richardson as Lucius Fox.

The film will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on July 8.

As part of its tie-in with The Dark Knight, Comcast is also offering featurettes and trailers from the movie. The campaign is similar to Comcast's Spider-Man 3 campaign from 2007.
